Customs law is the set of rules that must be followed during foreign trade transactions.
The purpose of the customs law determines the rules to be applied to goods and vehicles entering and leaving the Region of the Republic of Turkey. Thus, foreign trade transactions organized in accordance with the customs law regulation will be carried out more professionally and in the manner prescribed by the rules.
In order to reach Turkey's raw materials at more affordable costs, imports are made mostly from China, with the Bulgarian Transportation process. While the Customs Territory of the Republic of Turkey covers the Republic of Turkey, the territorial waters, inland waters and airspace regions of Turkey are included in the customs zones of Turkey. Customs law was put into practice in our country for the first time in 1999. It became used today by subjecting it to changes on June 18, 2009. On March 15, 2022, the President's decision was taken to amend some articles to be implemented in the Customs Law.
